Stewarding & Security
Nothing is more important to your event's success than the people working at it.
Affinity can help you to manage your staff – including stewards, security personnel, volunteers and other members of your customer-facing team.
Stewarding
We have often managed, trained and deployed large teams of stewards at indoor and outdoor events. More often than not, some of these people are volunteers with little or no experience.
Our team has worked with stewards at all kinds of events. Their duties might include taking tickets, keeping a watchful eye over a protest march, directing traffic or acting as human signposts. We can help stewards to understand quickly and concisely where their responsibilities do and don't lie, so that they get the most from the event and put the most into it.
Security staff
It may be necessary to have trained security staff as well as stewards at your event. Affinity can advise you on the legal requirements and help you source, brief and manage your security team. You might need just one or two security staff to look after back stage areas, or you may need a large body of SIA-accredited door staff.
We can ensure these staff have a positive impact on your event, are friendly and helpful to your customers while guaranteeing the safety of proceedings.
Working with volunteers
Our clients often work with volunteers, which is very different to employing paid staff.
In a high-pressure event environment, you need to think carefully about how to recruit and get the best from your volunteers. Whether they are working on the pre-planning stages or at the live event, volunteers are invaluable but need to be looked after and trained.
