Event Stewarding, Security & Volunteers

Getting the people right at your event is very important. At Affinity we can help you to manage your staff resource – including stewarding, security, volunteers and other customer facing staff.

Stewarding

Our work on larger scale events means that we often have to help manage, train and deploy large teams of stewards at both indoor and outdoor events. More often than not these stewards are volunteering for the event and have little or no experience or understanding of what might be required of them. Our management team have a great deal of experience working with stewards at all kinds of events – whether they are taking tickets on the door to a conference, or looking after a protest march on the streets of London – we can help them to understand quickly and concisely where their responsibilities do and don’t lie – so that they can get the most from the event in their capacity as a steward.

Security

For more in-depth roles, Affinity can help you to source, brief and manage security staff. Whether it be just one or two security to look after back stage areas , to full teams of SIA accredited door staff we are there to make sure that they have a positive impact on your event and are friendly and helpful to your event customers.

Volunteers

Working with volunteers is unlike working with any other group of people. This is especially true in the high pressure event environment, but is where you can get the best from the right team of volunteers. Whether they are working on the pre-planning stages or at the live event, volunteers provide an invaluable resource – but you need to look after them and train them so that they feel part of the event, that they are getting something out of their time they are giving and also can take something away from the event.

Affinity work with a number of volunteer led organisations and provide more than just an event management service. We understand that it’s important not to take over from the volunteers – but to maintain an oversight of the event to ensure that they are working to the correct health and safety and budgetary requirements.
